INFORMATION ON THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA
pursuant to Article 13 of EU Regulation 679/2016
Dear User,
to allow you access to the pages contained on the website www.retecardiologica.it (hereinafter also referred to as the “Site“), we invite you to read the rules applied for the management of personal data in accordance with the provisions of European Regulation 2016/679 (“GDPR“) and in compliance with the Measures of the Data Protection Authority n. 229/2014 and n. 231/2021.
WHAT ARE COOKIES
A cookie is a small file (text strings made up of letters and/or numbers) that a website sends to the browser and saves on your device (computer, smartphone, tablet) when you visit an internet site. Cookies are used to make the site work or to improve its performance, but potentially also to “profile” a user to provide information to the site owners in order to offer services, communications, and personalized advertising.
Internet browsing software can store cookies and then transmit them again to the sites that generated them during a subsequent visit by the same user, thus keeping track of their previous interaction with one or more websites. The information encoded in cookies can include personal data, such as an IP address, a username, a unique identifier, or an email address, but they can also contain non-personal data, such as language settings or information about the type of device a person is using to browse the site. Therefore, cookies can perform important and diverse functions, including session tracking, storing information about specific configurations regarding users accessing the server, facilitating the use of online content, and more. There are also additional technologies that perform similar functions to cookies and are considered equivalent.
TYPES OF COOKIES
Some cookies are necessary to provide basic functionalities for browsing the site (technical cookies). The website will not function correctly without these cookies, and they are enabled by default and cannot be disabled to navigate the site.
The use of these cookies, which are not stored persistently on the user’s computer and are deleted when the browser is closed, is strictly limited to the transmission of session identifiers (consisting of random numbers generated by the server) necessary to allow safe and efficient exploration of the site. In particular, the IT systems and software procedures used to operate the website acquire, during their normal operation, some data whose transmission is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols. This is information that is not collected to be associated with identified data subjects, but that by its very nature could, through processing and associations with data held by third parties, allow users to be identified. These cookies can be used without the consent of the data subject.
Analytical cookies can also fall into this category, provided they are used to process aggregated anonymous information (i.e., not attributable to individuals accessing the site), currently not used by the Site manager. Additionally, the Site does not use profiling cookies, which would be used to identify user preferences by recording the sites and searches made, to create a user profile and send targeted communications or services. The use of this type of cookie would require the user’s consent; therefore, if the Rete Cardiologica decides to implement their use, it will update the information and make a banner available for the digital management of consents.
